Here are the chicken and waffles in all their glory. The order came with chunky pieces of fried chicken thigh served atop two quarters of waffles with whipped garlic butter, and drizzled with a chilli maple syrup. The chicken here is excellent. The coating is on the more robust side (no light crispy Korean-style fried chicken here), and it does a great job of holding onto all the spicy oil and seasoning. Nashville hot chicken is traditionally tossed in a spicy oil mix (bit of oil straight from the fryer mixed with a spice seasoning blend). I assume that’s how they do it here too, and it was rather delicious. There was plenty of maple syrup and spicy oil, but the chicken maintained its satisfying crunchiness on the outside, and was wonderfully moist on the inside (very cliché I know). The maple syrup played an important role of balancing out the spicy and saltiness of with its sweetness, but wasn’t cloyingly sweet. The waffles were not mind-blowingly good, but the deep pockets did do a good job of trapping all the saucy goodness, and also provided a bit of that textural contrast with its fluffy interior. The whipped garlic butter had a light garlic flavour, and could have been a bit more pronounced in that regard (unless they were going for a more subdued garlic flavour so the chicken would be the highlight). As for the spiciness, the Holy level was not as spicy as I was expecting, but it did have a bit of that warming and lasting heat. If you can handle your heat, I suggest going for their Holy cluck option.  Overall, Peach’s was a different fried chicken experience for us. The coating and spice are very different to the other fried chickens I’ve had to date, and I most definitely will be paying another visit to try the spicier option.

Called in at the busy lunch time hour, a little queue to order but the wait wasn't very long, the buzzer system worked fantastic so that I could wonder around other shops while waiting. Had the Hot Chicken Sandwich and Medium Chicken Waffle, I took them home after 15 minutes drive, chicken still taste crunchy and warm, was not oily at all. We enjoyed both sandwiche and waffle, the heat level was not scary as I'd think and won't be regret I had them the next morning. Not complaining about the amount of chicken in one portion but trying to keep all the pieces in the sandwich was not an easy experience. Also, some fries to go with them would be perfect!!

My boyfriend and I came here last night and ordered one medium (mine) and one mild (his) chicken sandwich as well as one mild popcorn chicken (shared- but mostly/almost completely his minus one chicken piece). I personally found their chicken to be a bit too oily and would’ve appreciated some cabbage or coleslaw inside the sandwich as it was very one dimensional and needed something to cut how heavy it was. The burger itself was a bit tricky to eat as pieces of chicken kept falling out. My boyfriend on the other hand really enjoyed his sandwich although he agreed it needed something like cabbage or coleslaw to balance things out. He thoroughly enjoyed the popcorn chicken and thought that the chicken was the perfect spice level for him (he’s not the hugest fan of spicy things so mild was perfect). The chicken itself was wonderfully seasoned, perfectly spiced, tender and moist. I personally would not come back again, but my boyfriend most certainly would (which goes to show how much of a personal preference fried chicken really is). Staff are 10/10 and even though I’m not a huge fan I would definitely encourage people to head along and check out what Peach’s Hot Chicken has to offer.
