Saturday 25 Aug, 11am - 3:00pm | Free with museum entry Artist talk lineup 11am: Sea-Surge and Whale Song Engage with the creative minds of Shona Rapira Davies, Chris Charteris, Joanna Braithwaite, Stanley Palmer, and more, as they delve into their fascination with the Pacific Ocean, the species that inhabit its waters and fill the air with song. 1pm: A Song for Moana Oceania How do you make art about a subject as immense as the Pacific Ocean? And how, as humans, do we make a home in this overwhelmingly aquatic reality? Among those talking will be Fatu Feu'u, Denys Watkins, Kazu Nakagawa and Lianne Edwards and Lynn Kelly. 2pm: Return to Rangitahua The nine 'Kermadec' artists who voyaged on the HMNZS Otago to Rangitāhua Raoul Island in 2011 still feel the effects of that life-changing oceanic encounter. We will hear about that experience (and its aftermath) from Elizabeth Thomson, Phil Dadson, Fiona Hall, John Reynolds and others. Artist talks will be held in Edmiston Gallery
