Did you know that Asian small-clawed otters naturally hunt for their food in water? The Zoo’s skilled keepers will pop their food inside a pipe and submerge it to bring out these natural behaviours.
Cosy undercover venue The Domes will be open throughout the holiday period - with building blocks, puzzles, a reading corner and some tiger colouring-in!

If you’re driving the zoo is just a few minutes' drive from central Auckland. There is plenty of parking available on site. You can take a bus from central Auckland, with several routes stopping right outside the zoo. Alternatively, you can take the Western Line train to Morningside Station, which is about 30 minutes’ walk from the zoo.
