Holding Ground sculpture exhibition

Holding Ground is a free indoor sculpture exhibition featuring the works of 47 some of New Zealand’s best and most loved artists. The beautiful works span multiple mediums and the works will change over the course of the exhibition. Combine a visit with a stroll in the stunning and beautiful Auckland Botanic Gardens.

The exhibition ‘holds the ground’ left by a decision to postpone the biennial Sculpture in the Gardens until next summer (2024/25). The exhibition is curated by Cheryl Wright. A series of activities will be held over the summer including guided walks of the permanent trail, artist talks, and public workshops for making art of various media.
