The Mangere Mountain Education Centre offers guided walks by Mana whenua (local indigenous Māori tribal people) that guide you over the landscape and interpret its rich history and features. The guided walking tours reveal its volcanic origins and explore the history of settlement and cultivation on its fertile slopes.
