Te Whatu Stardome
Te Whatu Stardome is Auckland's observatory and planetarium and a trusted centre for celestial storytelling, astronomy, mātauranga Māori, and cosmological science. Located in Maungakiekie One Tree Hill, it offers fully immersive indoor planetarium shows, telescope viewing, music events and hands-on exhibits. It’s welcoming for all ages and in all weathers.

Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland Museum
Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland Museum is New Zealand’s earliest museum and widely regarded as one of the finest museums in the Southern Hemisphere. Housed in an iconic heritage building in Auckland Domain, the Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its people, and its place in the Pacific. Through rich galleries, explore the natural, cultural, and wartime history of Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa. Te Ao Tūroa Māori Natural History gallery shares the traditional concepts of Māori knowledge; and opening in September 2026, Te Ripo o te Moana: Taonga Through Time, showcases diverse taonga from the Museum's collection.
Te Paparahi Toi Māori
Māori identity is New Zealand’s unique point of difference in the world. In Auckland this is reflected through art and design elements within the city. These walks showcase over 100 sites of accessible public art, urban and architectural design and historical sites. They celebrate Māori identity, history, knowledge and contemporary presence. Choose from nine suggested maps and walking routes around the central city. Printed booklets with information about the featured art and architecture are available from the foyer of 135 Albert Street.
