Excellent coffee every time, the Govenor does not disappoint! I usually try the breakfast menu which is great, but suggest to change around each season, to look forward to something new and perhaps a few more cabinet takeaway items to go with the takeaway coffee.
Catching up with a former mentor on a weekday, the Governor was surprisingly busy with 3-4 tables. I ordered the Buddha bowl. Loved how colorful the meal was and a range of textures kept things interesting. Crunch of the chickepeas combined superbly with the beetroot butter. Had a coffee as well, which was excellent. Excited to come back to try out some other meals like the Indian Eggs, Bacon Buttie and Fishcakes. Showstopper: Great location. Coffee was awesome and the service was spot on. Overall Grade: B+
Place was very loud, and the food was okay, some were big missed and others were just okay. Staff were okay, nothing flash but it was busy. Prices were okay, would try again but only if lunch menu available
