We were disappointed by our visit to Lola. Things started off badly when the server brought our coffees and asked which of us had ordered the trim one. When we said they were both supposed to be trim, he said "Oh OK", put them down on the table and walked away. I guess that was our problem, then. As for the food, my friend had the chicken and pineapple burger and it was so greasy she was unable to eat more than a few bites. As she held it in her hand, I could literally see the grease dripping out of it. I had the Philly cheese steak, and it was fine if not exciting. Overall the experience wasn't enough to make us want to return.
I came all the way from Glenfield to try the vegan Afghan Skillet cookie. It was delicious, moist, crispy. The presentation was so pretty that the family on the table next to us asked us what this item was. There is nowhere on Auckland I can get something like this and the next time I get a craving, I will definitely be back!
Ordered the vegan breakfast. Was delicious and fresh. Falafal can be heavy but this was actually just right, crispy and light. The vegan feta also had a nice tang to it.
