Auckland was pouring today but found a cosy sheltered spot inside the cafe to have lunch. I ordered a mocha to drink and a Falafel on leeks. The mocha came out piping hot just the way I want it, with a good hit of coffee and chocolate and not too sweet too. The falafels were crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside, really good. The leek soup tasted a bit too watery, in need of more depth and salt to season. My friend who ordered the Bo Bun was disappointed that the place would not accommodate using her own noodles to replace the rice vermicelli (they did swap the noodles out for mushrooms though). Their smoothies looked delicious-very Instagram worthy and so will order that next time try. Overall small yet cosy spot for a clean healthy wholesome brunch/lunch. Service can be improved.
No.28 on Urban Lists must-try cafes for a good breakfast. They are not ranked number 28 though may I just add. The list is not in any particular order. However, if the list were ranked, I truly believe Mondays would be at the very top! Everything about their food was fresh! Service was so quick. Coffee was absolutely amazing - creamy & smooth. I think they use Kokako beans which is a great blend! My husband & I own a 1 year old Doberman & love to take him out with us when we explore cafes. Usually wait staff are super edgy around him. However, here at Monday’s they patted him, were really friendly towards him & not only catered to us, but to our dog as well (fetching him a bowl of water). The food came out so quickly & looked absolutely stunning. Everything tasted soooo good! My husband & I are not vegan, but Vegan or not, I can guarantee you Monday’s dishes will NOT disappoint. 10/10 for coffee, food & service. I love this place!
