Love this place. Good to have a place like this out in west Auckland. Food you want that you can’t cook at home any night of the week. Great deserts, if u like a punch of sweetness at the end. Happy to pay for food like this.
Brilliant food . Simple ingredients many components done perfectly creates heavenly experience that tingles all your senses . Wonderful front of house team; wonderful , jolly and friendly. Best kitchen team creating miracles on a plate .
Delicious meal! Started with the sharing platters. Mains became a battle of pork - pork knuckle and pork ribs. Both were very well cooked and presented. My first time here, definitely not my last.
When: Thursday midday Order: Bacon benedict, Salmon benedict, 2x americanos & a tea-ramisu Parking: Plenty of parking available in front of the cafe Seating: Plenty of seating available Service: Service was a bit slow - could be as it was peak time when we visited. Food: Both the eggs benedict were amazing! Really vibrant, beautifully plated with various elements. The portion sizes were huge! Loved the toasted english muffin topped with a beautifully cooked egg finished with a subtle hollindaise. There were pieces of pickled vegetables & caramalised onion on the side along with fresh greens. Overall enjoyed our meal! The desserts were presented to us and we could get an overview of what they looked like and what they were in general. The tea-ramisu was divine! It was their take on the classic tiramisu but with matcha green tea. There were layers of sponge, mascarpone cheese and sweet red beans topped with fresh matcha. It was a great finish to the meal. The coffees were great too! Overall: The food is a 5/5, atmosphere is 4/5, the service was 3/5 due to miscommunication in some places & delayed service. Overall great cafe to visit for good food! The menu is quite pricey for a cafe - more like restaurant prices. However the price most definitely matched the quality of the food.
I've never seen ribs plated so beautifully, and taste wise some of the best I've ever had. The deserts are also out of this world and worth saving space for. This place is worth driving out west just for it.
