Hsiu Yuan Food Co 秀園, Mount Roskill

A casual Taiwanese eatery. You can chose up to 3 variety from the dishes displayed at the counter, or you can order from their menu. The taste was excellent. Their braised lamb and chicken soft bones were tender and flavorful. The deep fried chicken drumsticks were crispy and juicy with salt and pepper spiced on the skin. Complimentary soup were available which also tasted flavorful. The restaurant is styled like a food court, food were quick to serve. It’s not the best eating environment, but would be great for takeaways. Highly recommend to everyone! Came in tonight because mom was craving taiwanese beef noodles. Been here before when I was younger but can't remember how food tasted. Restaurant was kind of like a cafeteria, pick a few meats/veges and add on your rice. Dad got the last piece of pork cutlet so they had to fry fresh ones for my brother and I. Everything fresh out of the fryer tasted amazing to me. Tofu was really nice too. The sauce was perfect for dipping tofu in and wasn't too spicy. Dad even took some to dip his pork in. Beef noodles had a kind of herby broth taste to it. Soup and water was provided at the back. Can't wait to come back and try the other food.
