Called to order for pick up and was told it was going to take 20 mins. Got there on time and ended up waiting another 40 minutes. The place is too small for trying to accommodate a large amount of customers. Food is average for authentic Filipino and a bit too pricey for standard. The only best thing would be the Ube cake.
So far, I personally think this is the best filipino restaurant in Auckland. I love their dinuguan, crispy pata, sisig, kare-kare and of course the desserts (ube ice cream, ube cake & halo halo). I also like their mamon and puto bumbong. However, it is sadly not available all the time. They have boodle fight here too. Con: Parking is a bit of a hassle here as there is not much space.
Walked in and the atmosphere was awesome. Really clean, tidy and well decorated ornaments. Love how cosy it was too - they have a heat pump!! Authentic Philipino tv was also playing, added to the experience :) cashier greeted me with a smile and was friendly. Toilets, tables etc were super clean too!! I ordered: Pandan and ube (purple yam) icecream and Ube cake Portions were a generous size, good value for money. Approx $5 for the huge cake slice, $5.50 for 2 big scoops of ice-cream. Maybe an improvement would be to add more ube to the ube flavoured icecream? But I know ube is expensive, and for the price it was great :) would come again!
