Great selection of seafood which is one of my favourite catagory of foods. Everything’s fresh as their seafood is kept live in tanks. Big menu and all of what I have tried so far has been delicious. Steamed egg, claypot eggplant, hotpot paua, lobster noodles, steamed shellfish with vermicelli, fried rice, steamed blue cod.. etc, nothing to fault. All has been yumyum. Service has always been fast and friendly. Even those times where the restaurant has quite a lot of customers. Good for small group and large groups. Also includes of private dining. Only fault would be their seating sometimes are too close together and the restaurant can get crowded.
Boy was i surprised to find this medium sized restaurant in Wynyard Quarter. As some will know i dont really bother to go to too many trendy parts to eat as im too lazy but i was pleasantly surprised by a high standard of everything. More of a surprise was they had not had a Zom review or rating yet. Well i had to put fix that! So climbing out of Zom retirement heres my opinion... Most tables are large fitting 10-12 people but they do have tables for 4 and for 8. There is a doorway on both ends of the sitting area so there is no attempt to cram as many tables in as possible. The back drop is a wall of tanks with all the live splendour of fish abalone crays etc. There was the biggest cray I've seen for some time which had it's own tank. (Don't tell those chicken activists).
