Renowned for his intimate, magnetic performances, Delaney Davidson brings his newest album, Baby Heavyweight, to the Auckland Live Cabaret Festival. Davidson steps into bold new songwriting territory inspired by Gershwin’s classic elegance, the lyricism of the Italian folk renaissance and the grit of 60s garage. He is joined by a handpicked ensemble of exceptional musicians; together they will bring the highs and lows of Lucifer’s Redemption to life.
Stripping each song back to its emotional core, he explores trauma, loss, recovery and confronting the past to move forward. With an eye for musical texture and a gift for dynamic storytelling, Davidson uses his mini-orchestra to shape each piece into a living, breathing atmosphere.
Join us for a spellbinding night of artistry - raw, tender and utterly transportive.
