Lisa Lorrell is a versatile performer and enjoys singing a wide variety of music from light opera to musical theatre, cabaret and swing jazz to country rock and pop. She has graced stages in the UK, Australia and New Zealand for over 25 years and is known for her stylish renditions of classics.
James Harrison is a baritone who has performed throughout Great Britain and the world, performing in operas, orates and recitals. He studied at the Royal College of Music where he won the prestigious Lies Askonas Prize, then went on to the National Opera Studio.
He has previously appeared with the New Zealand Opera, Auckland Choral Society and Bach Musica. This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2023 season.
In its 22nd year, this much-loved monthly concert series features a fantastic line-up of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and more. Arrive early and connect with friends new and old over complimentary tea and biscuits before the show.

Bruce Mason Centre is 15-20 minutes by car from the city centre, and easily accessible by bus. The closest paid parking is the Killarney Street car park, operated by Auckland Transport.

Leave plenty of spare time in case there’s traffic on the motorway or around the Takapuna village. Even better – get dinner or a pre-show drink nearby so you can soak up the bustling beachfront vibe.
