Please note Karanga-a-Hape Station is currently under construction and is expected to open in the second half of 2026. Visit Auckland Transport for more information.
Located right in the middle of Auckland's eclectic Karangahape Road precinct, this station is your gateway to connect with one of Auckland’s most eclectic neighbourhoods. With entrances on Beresford Square and Mercury Lane, the station puts K Road right on your doorstep, while making it easier to continue your journey towards Ponsonby, the inner city and beyond.
From Karanga-a-Hape, you can continue your journey through the city by rail. Head towards Waitematā for the waterfront, Britomart and Commercial Bay; travel to Te Waihorotiu for Auckland’s arts and entertainment quarter; or continue to Maungawhau to explore Eden Terrace, Mt Eden and connections further west and south.
The station itself reflects the character and heritage of the area, with design elements inspired by Tāne Mahuta and the kauri forest, connecting the modern station with the natural and cultural stories of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Whether you arrive for an afternoon of exploring, an evening out or a little of both, Karanga-a-Hape Station is a new gateway to K Road and an easy connection to more of Auckland.
