Preferred performance genres and styles
It is important that Pasifika Festival presents a wide range of performance genres and styles that reflect the diversity of Pacific cultures and communities. As such, we will carefully review all applications. However, we are particularly interested in applicants representing a variety of traditional and contemporary Pacific performance genres and artistic practices.
Pasifika Village Stages
Performances take place across the festival’s cultural villages, each representing Pacific nations including Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and the Cook Islands. Each village stage hosts traditional and contemporary performances throughout the day.
What to Expect
Pasifika Festival performances celebrate the diversity of Pacific cultures and traditions. Visitors can experience traditional dance, live Pacific music, storytelling and contemporary performances across the festival stages.
