Taking place at the start of school holidays, the 2026 Easter Show from 3-6 April brings a massive line-up of entertainment, extreme sports, carnival rides, sideshows, exhibits, and farm animals to honour the traditions of the show.
With a history that dates back to 1843, the Easter Show has a special place in the hearts and minds of many New Zealanders. Attendees to this year’s show can also expect all of the family favourites.
The A & P Assn are back for the 2026 show bringing farm animals back to Hall 6 with Farmworld. They are also bringing an iconic part of the Easter Show, the Art Show back to the Logan Campbell Centre.
In addition to Farmworld, this year’s show features roaming goats, a mobile farmyard and sheep dogs herding sheep from Cornwall Park in four days of sheep dog trials.
Mahons Amusements are bringing the country’s biggest carnival back to the Easter Show. Their classic rides such as Turbo Boost, Scream Machine, Hurricane and the Ferris Wheel will have visitors soaring into the skies. They also have an amazing new addition to their Mega Carnival in 2026, direct from Europe – the all-new ‘Electric Speedway’.
