Katsubay Japanese Seafood Experience

Experience the flavours and techniques of Japanese cooking with the freshness of local seasonal ingredients — from New Zealand kingfish lightly marinated with horopito and spring herbs, to Jersey Benne potato croquette and crisp seasonal vegetable tempura.

Guests can choose between our NZ Spring Seafood Ramen or Spring Vegetable Ramen, alongside Katsubay’s signature katsu, with a choice of chicken, pork or tofu.

To finish, a refreshing Japanese umeshu sorbet is paired with New Zealand spring berries.

It’s a meeting of two places we love — Japanese tradition and the ingredients of Aotearoa — brought together on one table for spring.
With only 20 guests, the evening is designed to be a relaxed and personal dining experience celebrating Japanese craftsmanship, seasonality and the simplicity of great ingredients.

Pre-booking is essential — limited to 20 guests. Please advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking. Due to the nature of this special seafood menu, some dietary requirements may not be able to be accommodated.
