The 2026 NRL season kicks off at home on Friday 6 March, with the One NZ Warriors facing the Sydney Roosters at Go Media Stadium.
The stadium is easy to reach by public transport, just a 15-minute walk from Penrose Station. Kids two and under go free when seated on an adult’s lap, with child tickets for ages 3–15.
Warriors merch will be available on the night. The stadium is mostly uncovered, so bring a raincoat, the game goes ahead rain or shine.

When big events are on at the stadium, the surrounding streets can become heavy with traffic. If you’re arranging to be picked up or dropped off, it’s best to identify a meeting point a few blocks away from the main entrances.

Go Media Stadium is a 10-15 minute walk from Penrose train station which is on the Onehunga and Southern Line. It’s easily accessible from the motorway and is about 15 minutes drive from the central city.
