Summer Raceday is all about easy-going fun, fresh air, and quality time together, with plenty to keep both kids and adults entertained throughout the day. Enjoy the excitement of live thoroughbred racing, relax on the lawns with a picnic, or explore the range of food and beverage options available on course.
Families can make a day of it with a fantastic line-up of free children’s activities, including a bouncy castle, giant garden games, swing ball challenges, and more. With wide open spaces to run around and a safe, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect setting for kids to play while parents sit back and enjoy the raceday action.
General Admission is free—no ticket required. Tickets are required for all other areas.
Getting there

You can take the train to Greenlane station or take one of many bus routes and walk 15 mins to the venue. There is free parking available on site for race days but you must enter via 16 Derby Downs Place, drive through the tunnel and continue on the road until you reach the carpark that is located within the racecourse infield.
