In the heart of Takapuna, Goldie’s Bar & Yard brings a lively, late-night edge to the beachside neighbourhood. Step off Hurstmere Road and you’ll find a modern honky-tonk with an easy, social energy, where long lunches can roll into cocktails and the mood shifts effortlessly from laid-back afternoons to upbeat nights out.
The experience here is built around Southern-inspired eats, bold drinks and spaces made for gathering. Settle into The Yard for casual drinks and a bite in the open air, then head inside to The Bar for cold beers, live music, line dancing and a dance floor that rarely stays still for long.
What sets Goldie’s apart is the way it blends Takapuna’s relaxed coastal feel with a playful, high-energy night out. It’s especially well suited to groups of friends, after-work catch-ups, celebratory dinners and anyone keen to follow dinner with music, dancing and a little Southern soul.
Getting there Te huarahi ki reira
There is paid on-street parking in parts of Hurstmere Road and surrounding central Takapuna streets, and public car parks in the wider town centre including Killarney Street, Anzac Street and Toka Puia. Parking can be busier during peak dining periods and later in the week, so allow a little extra time if you’re arriving for evening drinks or live music.
