From 1–12 December, K Road is turning into a street-wide advent calendar, with 12 festive shopfront windows transformed by a collection of artists, designers and creative talent.
Each day, a new Christmas window will be unveiled, bringing something different to the street. Expect imaginative installations, nostalgic Christmas magic, unexpected surprises and plenty of creative mischief – all with a distinctly K Road take on the festive season.
Bringing together emerging and established artists, including creative talent from AUT and the University of Auckland, the project celebrates the people, independent businesses and creative communities that make Karangahape Road such a unique part of Auckland.
12 days. 12 windows. A whole lot of Christmas spirit.
Make a date to wander K Road, discover the windows, pop into your favourite local shops, grab a bite to eat or stay for a drink. There's always something unexpected around the corner.

Getting there

Karangahape Road is easy to reach by train, bus, bike or on foot from the city centre. Karanga-a-Hape Station has entrances at Mercury Lane and Beresford Square, placing you within walking distance of the neighbourhood’s shops, eateries and nightlife.
