For new year's 2026, it returns for a 3 night celebration with 4 fully-themed stages, over 200 music, performing and visual artists, and held at a magical festival locations an hour north of Auckland.
AUM showcases local and international music, art, stage design, visuals, lights, and the highest quality sound systems. It is a new year's festival for serious music lovers with a wide range of underground electronic music including house and techno, psytrance, bass music, drum & bass, dub, downbeat, rock, chillout, disco and more.
AUM is New Zealand-owned and proud to support amazing local talent with DJs and live artists bringing 3 days and nights of good times.
There are workshops zone and a healing glade for daytime fun, and fun activities include cirque sessions, art, drumming, dance and more. Plus chillout spots around the site and roaming performers doing special performances.
Over recent years, AUM has become internationally recognised for its music lineup diversity. Recent international artists have included drum and bass pioneer Roni Size,), US organic house legends Dubtribe Sound System, breakbeat icon FreQ Nasty, progressive house's Dave Seaman and James Zabiela, and psytrance and psychedelic dub leaders Juno Reactor and Gaudi, plus many more.
Home-grown talents, however, are at the heart of AUM's mission. Electronic artist Minuit, Waikato rockers Devilskin, disco party-bringers Flamingo Pier, Grouch in Dub, Mazbou Q and more, plus some of New Zealand's top DJs/MCs: Paige Julia, Greg Churchill, MC Tali, Out of Sorts, State of Mind, Sharkra, Rob Warner, Sanoi, Grommie. Over 100 music artists perform each year. This year's first lineup will be announced mid-year.
ABOUT AUM FESTIVAL
3 nights and days of wholesome fun and good vibes across multiple zones, all happening in a secluded forest location an hour north of Auckland city. Performing and visual arts are in abundance, along with fun circus and wellness workshops to join.
We have hangout spots to enjoy the sun, lots of trees for shade, a huge campground with lots of space, a market village with food vendors and more. We also have Healing Glade for wellness and health activities with a full schedule of healing workshops and sessions. Last year we celebrated ten years of this creative music community bringing together an amazing bunch of the friendliest people imaginable.
