This eight-week course provides an overview the art of observational life drawing. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this course will guide you through traditional and contemporary drawing techniques to develop a personal approach to drawing the human figure. You’ll have the opportunity to draw professional life models in a variety of poses with a range of materials and enjoy an expert tour of select artworks in the Gallery’s collection to learn more about how to shape the human form on the page.

Auckland Art Gallery is on the corner of Kitchener and Wellesley Streets in the city centre. Te Waihorotiu Station is around a 5-minute walk away, while Waitematā Station and the ferry terminal are around a 15-minute walk. The OuterLink also stops nearby on Wellesley Street East.
