Tumutumuwhenua Cultural Trust will elavate and celebrate Matariki and Ngāti Whātua in this intimate yet powerful presentation, AHIKĀ.
These 6-13 year old embers will spark the stars to twinkle and the land to glisten with pride as these young descendants of Tuperiri share what they have learned about Matariki.
AHIKĀ will be presented through our whaikōrero & pao, contemporary & traditional waiata, wānanga & imparting of information as our tamariki see it. Wrapped up with a fusion of voice, song, rhythm and movement, you will be certain to be dazzled by these amazing up & coming stars of Ngāti Whātua ki Tāmaki.
