Champions Day isn’t just a raceday – it’s the headline act of Auckland’s summer, where sport, style, and entertainment collide on a scale like no other.

At its heart: the NZB Kiwi – New Zealand’s richest race, with a record $5 million in stakes and bonuses. It’s a race like no other, where opportunity is bought, greatness is chased, and in just two minutes, everything can change.

Sharing top billing is an entertainment line-up just as unmissable – headlined by global dance music star Example, performing live at the Birdcage Bash afterparty in association with The Grand Tour. With anthems like Kickstarts and All Night, he’ll take the celebration trackside and into the night – joined by Kiwi DJ and personality Clint Roberts, plus support acts to keep the party going.

On the track, a line-up of the nation’s most prestigious races – including the Trackside New Zealand Derby and the iconic Auckland Cup – delivers both sporting drama of the highest calibre and the country’s richest annual sporting event.

Off the track, The Ned Prix de Fashion takes centre stage as the national final of racewear style – where New Zealand’s best dressed female racegoers compete for glory and that coveted sash. Men have their chance to win big too with the 3 Wise Men Menswear Award also taking place on the runway.

Children will be kept well-entertained with a heap of FREE games & activities to enjoy between races.

And when the racing ends? The celebration continues. The Birdcage Bash (brought to you in association with The Grand Tour) takes the energy  into the night – because no great sporting event ends at the final whistle.
