SIX60 TO OPEN THE NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE
Kiwi iconic four-piece SIX60 have today announced a very special show on the day of the release of their fifth studio album Right Here Right Now. Friday, February 13th will see the band open the Te Paepae Theatre, New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), with the first concert the brand-new venue has ever seen. This will also be the first showing of the band’s album, and attendees are sure to hear some of Six60’s famous hits throughout the night as well.
The Right Here Right Now album release concert will show SIX60 and their band in an intimate and exclusive environment - a rare opportunity to see the band up close and personal. Attendees will be able to purchase the new record on Vinyl from the event, and keen fans can preorder to secure their Vinyl before the night at https://six60store.co.nz/(Opens in new tab).
To build the hype and feed their hungry NZ audience early, Six60 released two brand new singles ‘Knocking At Your Door’ and ‘We Are All Kings’ on Friday 16 January as a first taste of what’s to come.
Recorded entirely live, with every final track captured in a single take, Right Here Right Now is SIX60 at their most immediate and unfiltered - blending emotionally rich ballads, their signature reggae and pop style and the stripped-back production that leaves space for groove, feeling, and clarity. Tracks from the new record played at the Right Here Right Now album release concert will share the sound of summer, the energy of a live room, and the honest, uplifting essence that has made Six60 one of New Zealand’s most beloved and successful bands.
The album marks a deliberate return to the organic, in-the-room feeling that defined their now 13x platinum debut. Embracing imperfections, warmth, and movement in favour of polish, the band are stoked to bring this vibe to the brand new Te Paepae Theatre, NZICC.
