Three leading voices will come together to explore the extraordinary traditions that have connected people and islands across Moana Oceania for generations, and consider how these practices continue to be shared, practised and carried forward today.
The event will also include the presentation of the Caird Medal to Dame Anne Salmond, awarded by the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, in recognition of her outstanding work in Māori history, Pacific voyaging and cross-cultural exchange.

The Museum is a short walk from the centre of town and Waitematā station. There are also parking buildings nearby on Pakenham St East and Market Lane.
