The most exciting racing on water will return to Waitematā Harbour on 14-15 February 2026.

After raising the bar for SailGP events globally with the first record-setting edition of the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | Auckland, the Wynyard Point Race Stadium is set to be even bigger in 2026.

Please note: SailGP has adjusted the race schedule for Sunday February 15 – day two of the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix in Auckland – due to an evolving weather forecast and the increased likelihood of afternoon thunderstorms.

Racing will now begin at 11:30 a.m. NZT on Sunday February 15, moved forward from the originally scheduled 4:00 p.m. start time.

Updated Sunday timings are as follows:
•    Race Stadium opens: 9:00 a.m.
•    Adrenaline Lounge opens: 10.00 a.m.
•    Racing begins: 11:30 a.m.
•    Event concludes: approximately 2:30 p.m.

The schedule for Saturday February 14 remains unchanged, with racing scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
The decision by organizers was made following consultation with Auckland Council Events and event stakeholders, with athlete safety and competitive integrity as priorities. SailGP acknowledges the adjustment may impact plans and appreciates the understanding and flexibility of fans, partners and the wider Auckland community.
