Takapuna Winter Lights is an annual highlight on the Auckland arts and cultural calendar held at Takapuna’s new Waiwharariki Anzac Square, 24-27 July 2025, thanks to the support of the Takapuna Beach Business Association, Auckland Council, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, Angus Muir Design, Go Media, Mercury, Barfoot & Thompson, and funding partners including Aotearoa Gaming Trust, The Lion Foundation, Four Winds, and One Foundation.
Lights are on from 5-10pm, 24-27 July, get your session ticket, dress up warm, pop in for a bite to eat & drink at your favourite restaurants and bars, and let your senses guide you through Takapuna Winter Lights 2025.
Due to the massive demand at previous events, we are needing to put in place tickets to specific session times to avoid overcrowding. Please ensure you come during your session time. While at the event, please SCAN your FREE ticket(s) at the Prize Entry Booth during your session time to go in the draw to win $1000 to spend in Takapuna.

Takapuna is a 10-15 minute drive from the city centre, and is accessible by bus.

Beat the crowds by going to Minnehaha Beach, a secluded haven between Takapuna Beach and Milford. This secret spot can only be reached on foot via the coastal walkway. Park around Minnehaha Avenue for the easiest access.
