Designed for learners, thinkers and creatives, it’s no wonder Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is on the cutting edge of well-designed spaces. Experience an art exhibition or world summit in the light-filled open forum of the City Campus, where green foliage elegantly tumbles down several storeys.  

There are more than 600 spaces within the complex, with the most notable including Te Iringa, or the Wave Room. Get inspired by academics or enjoy a seated gala dinner beneath the iconic wooden ceiling that gently curves over its guests, located within the award-winning Sir Paul Reeves Building. 

With world-class facilities and the in-house AUT Events team, the city campus is well-equipped for a variety of events. This is where the city meets events ranging from student fashion shows and Ted Talk-like events to international symposiums.

Getting there Te huarahi ki reira
The AUT City Campus is a 15-minute walk from the Britomart train station and the ferry terminal. The campus sits on a well-serviced bus route along Symonds Street. If you’re driving, scope out the nearest paid car park at the Auckland Transport website.

Being situated across from Auckland Art Gallery and Albert Park, be sure to leave some wiggle room for exploring the delights of the city. Artworks, urban walks, cool coffee shops and shopping sprees await.
