Matakana Estate Lodge

Set within a private vineyard just 50 minutes from Auckland, Matakana Estate Lodge is a secluded four-bedroom retreat overlooking the vines and Matakana Valley.

Once the private home of the estate’s former owners, the lodge brings together wine, art and local history. Original artworks and sculptural pieces are found throughout, including a remarkable lighting installation by artist James Russ, handcrafted from 40 vines once grown on the estate.

Accommodating up to 10 guests, the lodge features 4.5 bathrooms, an indoor heated pool, full kitchen, entertainment room and private cellar dining. Guests can also visit the Cellar Door for regional wine tastings, curated dining and hands-on wine-blending experiences.
