Western Springs Bowl brings live music and sport to one of Auckland’s most distinctive outdoor settings.
Replacing the former Western Springs Stadium, the renewed venue is built into a natural amphitheatre beside Western Springs Park. It features a semi-permanent summer concert stage, new hospitality areas and flexible configurations for major concerts, festivals and boutique sporting events.
With a maximum capacity of 50,000, the Bowl will primarily host music crowds of up to 30,000 and sporting events of up to 5,000. Ponsonby Rugby Club will also continue to call the venue home.
Surrounded by Auckland Zoo, MOTAT and the open spaces of Western Springs, it offers a memorable setting for large-scale entertainment close to the city centre.
