Still utterly furious that his parents chose the name Barry, he’s come to accept that, although he doesn’t suit it, it’s too late to change it. And anyway, what’s in a name? Quite a lot, as it turns out.
Other topics covered include an embarrassingly racist dog, a monkey-obsessed mother, a daughter conceived through IVF who cost so much money he’ll have to spend the rest of her childhood working to pay for her, and a solution to the Middle East crisis. There’s also a song at the beginning of the show that’s so good it should probably be at the end. It’s a show jam-packed with laughs, all about life’s big questions – with pretty inadequate answers.
He’d like to point out that he wrote the above (and this) and, to be honest, he finds it a bit weird to be writing in the third person. He (I) also thinks it’s presumptuous to say his (my) show is jam-packed with laughs (even though he’s (I’m) very confident it will be, as the ones he’s (I’ve) done so far have been). Why don’t you be the judge and come along? He (I) would also like to clarify that the quotes below weren’t written by him (me), but by actual reviewers (and an endorsement from Greg Davies). And he (I) would like to thank you for the time you’ve spent reading this, and he (I) hopes to see you at one of the shows. Please come. As I (he) told you, I’ve got a daughter to finish paying for.
