Celebrating Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's connection with the harbours and waterways and love of beach life, explore the nautical theme. Learn rope laying and knot tying and make a paper sailboat. Step back in time - churn butter and attend a Victorian School lesson. See the the blacksmiths at work in the forge and delve into the art of book crafts with the bookbinders. Visit the sweet shop filled with old-fashioned lollies and fudge.
With performances of Morris dancing at 10:30 & 11:30) and bagpipes at 12:30 there will be lots to see. Have brunch or lunch at the Homestead Café and make a day of it.
