The Glass Lens showcases a stunning selection of nature inspired works made by Aotearoa glass makers and designers, Judy Newton, Kahu Design, Keith Grinter, Luke Jacomb & Tara Ross (Luke Jacomb Studio), Lynden Over & Christine Robb (Lava Glass), Rebecca Heap, and Thomas Barter. Each of these artists contributes to an ongoing dialogue between tradition and innovation, reflecting the evolving possibilities of glass as a medium for artistic expression. The Glass Lens highlights the contribution of contemporary artists to the field of glass in Aotearoa. Offering visitors an opportunity to engage with glass as a living and continually evolving art form.
The Glass Lens showcase includes vases, jewellery, wall and table sculptures, bowls and glassware.
All works are available for purchase.

Getting there

You can take public transportation, drive and park in the museum's parking lot, or even walk or cycle if you're in the central Auckland area. The museum is located in the beautiful Auckland Domain, and once you arrive, you can enter through the main entrance on the east side of the building.
