Do you accept your mission to protect the Museum’s secrets?
Grab your torch and join us for Night at Auckland Museum: Top Secret, an evening of storytelling, live performance, hands-on activities, games and challenges as the Museum transforms after hours. Professor Maven Sage has discovered a magical formula that brings Museum objects to life so they can share their stories. But her devious arch-rival, Professor Erroneous Fussbucket, wants the formula for himself. Your family has been recruited to help Professor Sage protect her discovery and keep the Museum’s secrets safe. Torch in hand, explore three floors of darkened galleries and meet an extraordinary cast of larger-than-life performers. Travel through time and across Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific and beyond, with colourful stories to discover and activities to try.
Help prepare for a voyage across the Pacific, learn traditional fishing skills, make a talisman inspired by ancient Greek gods, put your stealth to the test and more. At each encounter, record a magical symbol in your Mission Passport as you work towards completing your top-secret mission. And keep your eyes peeled for the Museum’s resident life-size dinosaurs in a special theatre show in the Grand Foyer. They’re hard to miss!
