Auckland, this is your early taste of what's to come – a fast-paced, high-energy Festival showcase built to give you a sneak peek of Comedy Fest season.
Hosted by Hoani Hotene, the Tāmaki Preview Show is a sharp, fast-moving line-up packed with fresh perspectives, laugh-out-loud moments, and those "wait, how have I not seen this person before?" discoveries you only get at the Festival. It's the perfect first taste – come with your mates, discover a new favourite, and then get ready for three weeks of non-stop comedy just around the corner.
Expect a tight run time, a buzzing room, and a line-up that makes the Festival feel very real, very fast.
Presented by the NZ Comedy Trust as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo, on from 1 – 24 May in Auckland and Wellington.

Stick around for a bevvie or two at the bar. Not only are the tickets are cheap but the drinks at the bar won't break the bank either.
Getting there

The Basement Theatre is located behind Aotea Square and the Town Hall, with a garage door entrance. It is easily accessible by foot from Queen Street.
