It's a common name in Sri Lanka where Sashi was born but never lived. Till a series of pear-shaped events saw her move back to where it all began with her white Australia husband in tow. Pear Tree is a stand-up comedy show about that. It traverses family, love, legacies, homes, knives, race, cats and kids - spliced with a little geopolitics and singing. As with her last show Boundaries (now on YouTube), Sashi's signature observational humour remains dedicated to taking absolutely nothing too seriously.
