This multi-award-winning family band from Tāmaki Makaurau has a suite of fun, funny and seriously catchy songs that secretly help kids become stellar spellers. Spellodies won the 2026 Tūī award for Best Children’s music artist as well as the 2024 APRA Best song for Primary Age kids for their song Because.
They regularly perform their high-energy set packed with catchy songs and comedy sketches in a variety of genres including rock, folk, country, pop, funk and more. Perfect for ages 4-9 years; all children welcome.

About We The Young Sunday Sessions
Sunday Sessions are FREE music jams for little early risers and their grown-ups. Hear some of the best children’s music bands in the business and join wrigglers, jigglers and star-jumpers for a joyful start to Sunday mornings. Also performing during Sunday Sessions are The 95bFM Kids Show Live and The Stink Bug Band.

Auckland Town Hall is opposite Aotea Square on Queen Street. This is along a main bus route and takes about 17-20 minutes to walk from Waitematā Station and the ferry terminal. There is parking available at the Civic carpark which brings you right to the back entrance of the venue.
