The world is thrown into a full BLACKOUT. Phones die, screens go offline, and suddenly everyone is forced to figure out how to live without the technology they have become completely dependent on. At first, it feels almost magical - neighbours connect, kids play outside, families spend real time together and old-school ways of living make a comeback. But the longer The Blackout continues, the more complicated things become. Businesses scramble, systems fail, people lose jobs and the world begins to realise just how much it relies on the internet to function.
Through the good, the bad, and everything in between, the kids find themselves at the centre of a high-profile trial: did they cause complete chaos, or force the world to confront something it desperately needed to see?
Laced with humour, heart and high-energy dance, 'The Blackout' takes the audience on a wild journey through a world forced to disconnect. When the screens go dark and the noise disappears, what really matters?

Bruce Mason Centre is 15-20 minutes by car from the city centre, and easily accessible by bus. The closest paid parking is the Killarney Street car park, operated by Auckland Transport.
