It’s your Super Bowl.
It’s your bogan Christmas.
It’s the biggest rock event on the planet.
The Rock 2000 Live Event is back.
The Rock 2000 has transcended traditional media to become a world-class cultural juggernaut, uniting fans in a celebration of rock on a truly global scale. After a record-breaking sell-out in 2025, The Rock 2000 Live Event returns to Spark Arena on Friday, September 25, 2026, brought to you by Jim Beam.
The night will once again centre around the iconic Rock 2000 Top 20 Live Ceremony, hosted by Jay and Dunc, where fans will witness the final countdown in real time as the world’s greatest rock song is crowned live on stage—voted by hundreds of thousands of rock fans across New Zealand and around the globe.
Leading the first wave of announcements are Australian rock heavyweights The Living End, set to deliver a high-octane performance following the Top 20 reveal, with more acts still to be announced.
More than just a concert, The Rock 2000 Live Event is an eight-hour pilgrimage for the rock-obsessed, delivering pure, unadulterated chaos within a world-class festival experience, complete with free tattoos, barbers, giveaways, legendary food stalls, and the ultimate celebration of the world’s biggest rock anthems.
After selling out faster than ever before, anticipation for 2026 is already building, with fans expected to snap up tickets quickly.
With the country’s most passionate rock fans, the most debated countdown in music, and a live show that only keeps getting bigger—this is more than a concert.
