We Came From the Sea
An intergenerational conversation around memory, knowledge, and skin. This intimate sharing brings together Te Wehi Kore Karena Haraki Akuhata Grant‑Koria and Mierewai Grant‑Koria, in collaboration with Julia Mage’au Gray. The work evokes Oceanic connections and the linguistic, visual, and physical languages Pacific peoples share — a poignant reminder that our bodies are the living representation of our many ancestors.
Kamataga — Kapieri Samisoni & Antonio Matagi
A powerful exploration of beginnings, identity formation, and cultural continuity. Kamataga weaves contemporary movement with Pacific storytelling to reflect on where we come from, what shapes us, and the beauty of starting points.
Vignette of the Frigate — Viliamu Yandall
A reflective, movement‑driven work inspired by Pacific migration journeys. Blending contemporary dance with siva Samoa, Yandall explores what is gained, carried, and transformed as Pacific peoples move across oceans and generations.
Together, these three works create a dynamic, interwoven evening of Pacific excellence — a celebration of the past, present, and future of our Moana.
