Hobson Street Theatre Company is an award-winning theatre company created in partnership with the Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai, with an aim to tell stories full of manawa (heart), wairua (soul) and whakakata (humour). Their work is devised by company members, resulting in raw, authentic, and often uplifting performances grounded in lived experience and collective storytelling.

Getting there

The Basement Theatre is located behind Aotea Square and the Town Hall, with a garage door entrance. It is easily accessible by foot from Queen Street.
