HKS Waffle and Gelato

HKS Waffle & Gelato brings a taste of Hong Kong’s vibrant street-food culture to Auckland, serving playful desserts inspired by one of the city’s most iconic snacks: the bubble waffle. Founded by two Hong Kong locals, HKS was created to share the nostalgic flavours of their childhood while introducing Auckland diners to the crispy, golden egg waffles that have been a beloved street treat in Hong Kong since the 1950s.

At the heart of the menu are the signature Hong Kong-style egg waffles, recognisable for their bubbly honeycomb shape—crispy on the outside with a soft, chewy centre.
