Take an underwater journey through the world famous SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's, Auckland and discover a diverse collection of aquatic life up close. See the world’s largest sub-Antarctic penguin colony display, the world’s biggest species of stingray and NZ’s largest collection of sharks.

Journey through a unique Southern Ocean experience and marvel at our amazing live jellyfish display, find out how we work with rescued sea turtles and visit the magical Seahorse Kingdom where you’ll find the world’s only display of Spiny Sea Dragons, all these & more.

For the adventurous we have thrilling Shark Cage Adventure, snorkel in our Shark Cage; Penguin Passport where you can get into our penguin enclosure, get up close and personal with penguins.

By car: SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s is at 23 Tāmaki Drive, around a 10-minute drive from Auckland city centre. Free parking is available in the attraction’s car park and along Tāmaki Drive, subject to availability.

By bus: Catch the TāmakiLink from Customs Street East, near Waitematā Station. Buses depart frequently and stop directly outside the aquarium. Allow approximately 20–30 minutes for the journey.

By train: Take a train to Waitematā Station, then transfer to the TāmakiLink bus on Customs Street East for the trip along Tāmaki Drive.

Power to the Pedal

Keen to cycle along Tāmaki Drive instead? Book Power to the Pedal's 'The Easy Rider' tour. You and your eBike will travel along the waterfront past the Wynyard Quarter, the Viaduct, Quay Street, Tamaki Drive, and Queens Wharf.

Mission Bay

Further along Tāmaki Drive, about a 20-minute walk from SEA LIFE, is the relaxed, seaside suburb of Mission Bay. The golden beach is perfect for building sandcastles, splashing in the water, or having a casual family picnic. Plus, it has a huge, recently upgraded playground for the kids!
