Wētā Workshop Unleashed, located in the heart of the city, is a multi-award-winning experience where you can explore interactive and immersive make-believe film sets inspired by Wellington's Academy Award-winning Weta Workshop.
If horror and sci-fi are your jam, join the Wētā Workshop Unleashed crew on a guided tour of three original film projects. Explore the worlds of horror, science fiction, and fantasy while navigating enchanting environments, perplexing displays, and interactive technologies during a 90-minute guided experience.
An encounter with the resident monsters, an alien robot, and more than realistic giants are all part of the experience. Plus, you will learn a lot about the worlds of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi in the making and discover how the crew designs, builds, and brings those monsters to life.
This is a fantastical experience that takes guests of all ages on a hosted journey into the fantastical world of filmmaking. If you don't want to return to reality just yet, visit the Wētā Cave retail store to pick up some collectibles and tools to make your own.

Wētā Workshop Unleashed is at Level 5, 88 Federal Street in the city centre. Te Waihorotiu Station is around a 5-minute walk away, while Waitematā Station is around a 15-minute walk down Queen Street. SkyCity parking is available nearby.
