Ben Ottewell & Ian Ball (GOMEZ)

The year is 2002 and Gomez are riding high. Fresh from winning the Mercury Music Prize, the British band are international touring superstars and a huge act across Australia and New Zealand. Their third album, In Our Gun, had arrived, packed with the band's distinctive mix of rock, blues, folk and electronic experimentation.

Now, a quarter of a century later, Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball are bringing that record back to life for New Zealand audiences, following their hugely popular Gomez By Request shows across Aotearoa in 2025.

The pair will celebrate In Our Gun alongside the Gomez hits, favourites and deeper cuts fans have come to expect from their famously good-time live shows. Expect Shot Shot, Detroit Swing 66, Ruff Stuff and Ping One Down, coupled with the killers Whippin’ Piccadilly, Get Myself Arrested and plenty more from across the Gomez catalogue.
