Starring award-winning artist Ali Harper (Menopause the Musical, A Doris Day Special, Legendary Divas) and told through more than 20 of her most iconic songs, including “Get Happy”, “The Trolley Song”, “The Man That Got Away”, and the Oscar-winning “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, audiences are taken inside the pressure, the fragility, the humour and the fierce determination that defined Garland’s final years on stage.
Presented by Ben McDonald, producer of the recent smash-hits Menopause the Musical and Chicago The Musical, and featuring live music under the direction of Tom Rainey, Judy’s Encore is a raw, revealing and deeply human portrait of one of the greatest entertainers of all time – and the price she paid for it.
